Who we are:

Lyndon Storey

My interest in philosophy and its role in daily life eventually led me to study human heartedness. Along the way I have acquired a PhD writing about the human hearted Chinese philosopher Mencius and been a Humanist Chaplain at Canberra Hospital. I am also a former President of the Council of Australian Humanist Societies., and am currently working to build Human Hearted Sydney. Keen as I am to promote a human hearted approach to today’s issues I also have to admit that I have a long way to go to realise my own human heartedness. My involvement is much more about sharing the journey than telling people how I completed the journey - I haven’t completed it. When not working on this site (or my day job) I enjoy sport and watching television.

Benny Lonsdale

I graduated from the Australian National University with a degree in Sociology and have a long standing interest in social transformation, having been involved in various environmental and LGBTQI causes over the years. Like Lyndon I’m here to share a journey.
